A Muscle Car Research Exclusive!
Muscle Car Research is proud to offer brand new reproductions of the D0ZZ-7341-A reverse lockout rod steering column bushing and the C7SZ-7341-A gear shift arm bushing used on a number of Ford vehicles to cushion the connection between the reverse lockout rod, the lower steering column, and the gear shift linkage. Applications include:
- 1970 - 1973 Ford Mustang
- 1971 - 1972 Ford Maverick
- 1970 - 1973 Mercury Cougar
The D0ZZ-7341-A bushing is made from green Nylatron LIG PA6. The C7SZ-7341-A bushing is made from black Nycast Nyloil. Both are modern, oil-infused nylon materials that are self-lubricating and conform to Ford's original design specifications. The colors are an exact match and the parts are accurate dimensional and functional reproductions.
Installation tips: Soften the bushings by soaking them in hot water or warming them with a heat gun set on LOW for several minutes. Press the green bushing into place with the steering column on a work bench. A c-clamp and socket will do the trick. The material is firm enough that it won't compress if you try to push it in by hand. I tried to install one with the column in the car and there just wasn't enough room to use tools. The fit between the rod and the inner diameter is tight.
These parts are proudly made in the USA. Dealer inquiries are welcome - please contact us for pricing.
